205 YEARS OF BASI REVOLT



Piddig celebrated the 205th year anniversary of the tragic end of the famous Basi Revolt last September 28, 2012 with the unveiling of the Basi Revolt Shrine located at the Brgy. Loing "Triangle". The governor, Hon. Imee Marcos was the guest of honor. The shrine features the life size statues of Pedro Mateo (the guy with a machete) and Sarlogo Ambaristo (with bow and arrow). Pedro Mateo was the Leader of the Basi Revolt while Ambaristo was his leautenant.  For more information about Basi Revolt please read the articles posted earlier in this blog.
